The World Is So Wonderful

Author: Akurasaki Station

AN: I’m sorry for the poor writing, but thank you.

TN: I feel the need to give a trigger warning here! This story contains themes of school violence, murder, suicide, and other subjects that may be too disturbing for some readers.

Jijiji, Jijiji, Jiriri………….

“Hmm…”

In the morning, a glimmer of light shone through the crack in the curtains.

The alarm clock clanged slightly, and at the same time, the first call of the morning fell silent.

When he checked the time, it was past 10:00 am. He had overslept, but there was no need to worry.

He dragged his lazy body out of bed and boldly opened the curtains.

Today was a fine cloudless day. The bright morning sun was pleasant.

“Hmm! Good morning!”

It was closer to noon, but he didn’t care.

His half-asleep consciousness was fully awakened.

He felt that his depressed mood had lifted a bit.

He stretched out and started to get ready for school.

“Oh, did I fall asleep right after yesterday?”

Running his fingers over the handle of his closet, he was reminded of yesterday.

After all, he still wore them on both hands, and self-deprecatingly, he took off the Rubber Gloves.

With his rough hands exposed, he unbuttoned his pajamas from the bottom up.

After taking off the entire top and bottom, several reddish-purple spots were revealed, which were raised from the inside like large spots from below the collarbone to the Umbilical region(navel). He unconsciously stroked them.

A tingling pain was transmitted to his brain, and he involuntarily shook his head slightly.

“No, no. I have to get dressed first.”

From the closet with the door open, he took out a set of school uniforms.

“Well, it’s been a while since I’ve been to school.”

He was thrilled and deeply moved by his alma mater, which he had not attended for several months.

After dressing, he slung his bag over his shoulder, grabbed the doorknob, and stepped out into the hallway.

“Come to think of it, I’m never coming back here again.”

He looked back, wanting to remember one last time.

Looking around, it’s a room that looks as if it doesn’t have the slightest hint of human personality. There is only a bed, an alarm clock, a desk, and a closet. There are no memorabilia of his life so far that he would be fascinated by.

He didn’t have to look at anything in particular, so he turned on his heel with a little regret.

Once back in the hallway, he took two or three steps toward the stairs and descended them.

After descending to the first floor, he headed straight for the living room.

When he reached his destination, he heard a gulp and a hunger signal from his stomach.

He hadn’t had anything in his stomach since yesterday, so it felt upset.

He went into the kitchen and stood in front of the big fridge. A red metal refrigerator with two doors.

When it is opened with a bang, a light comes on inside. Inside was a wilted head of lettuce, a halved lemon, barley tea, and milk. There are a few condiments here and there. Unfortunately, there is nothing to soothe the anger in his belly. Apparently, they wanted to go shopping today.

There was no other choice but to get a light meal at a convenience store.

After deciding on his next course of action, he went to his parents’ bedroom. Finding his mother’s purse in the room’s large wardrobe, he took out her wallet and borrowed some money. There was about 30,000 yen in it, so he took it all.

She would never have any use for it again anyway.

ーーーーーーーーーーーー

He was already prepared to leave, but he decided to greet his parents one last time before leaving.

As he walked over to where they were, he said a few words.

“Mom, Dad, I’m gone.”

There was no answer to his words.

He already expected that. After a few seconds of silence, he turned on his heel and walked straight to the front door.

Pulling on his loafers, he opened the door, which felt unusually heavy, with the sound of the latch bolt scraping against it, and walked out.

The house slammed shut behind him.

Shaa… the silence is broken only by the sound of the shower water hitting the floor——————.

ーーーーーーーーーーーーーーー

After leaving the house, he went to the convenience store to get something to eat. It was just before 10:30.

The time for commuting to school and work was long past. There are probably few people in the store.

After a few minutes of walking, he reached his destination.

A convenience store with the number 7. It’s close to his house, so he often goes there.

Despite the recent price hikes and poor market conditions, he liked the taste of this familiar brand.

Pyrolon Pyrolon, Pyrolon Pyrolon————.

Accompanied by a faint mechanical sound, he entered the store. There was a middle-aged man standing around reading and a woman in a jersey who was checking out her purchases. Not many people, as expected.

He was hungry and had thought about eating a lot sooner, but apparently Stomach-san had gone beyond being upset to being grumpy. Now he wasn’t so hungry.

He picked up one salmon onigiri, a 350ml bottle of tea, and last but not least the most important item, and carried them to the cashier. The female clerk, who must have been in charge of the register, turned her head toward him and gave him a startled look.

“?  Um, is something wrong?”

Confused, he called out to the cashier.

“Oh! Nothing. One onigiri and one tea, and ———.”

The total charge is presented and some change is returned.

In recent years, the government has introduced a fee for plastic shopping bags, so people naturally choose to carry their own bags or just carry them in their hands. But he’s a student, with a school bag on his shoulder.

He threw the snacks he just bought into his bag and tried to leave.

“Oh, umm!”

A voice called out from behind him again.

He turned to see if something was wrong.

“What’s wrong?”

“T, there… o, on your face! Um, there…”

She’s not quite sure what she wants to say, and he can’t figure out an answer to what she’s trying to say.

When he heard the word “face”, he gradually brought his right hand to his cheek.

“Do I have something on my face?”

“Umm, uh…yes…”

At her impotent reply, he scratched his cheek a little with his finger. But nothing was there.

This time he scratched it harder.

Then, between the nail of his index finger and the flesh, he noticed a red powdery substance.

Seeing it, he realized why she had been surprised earlier.

“No, no, I’m sorry. I guess I fell asleep without realizing it. Hahaha.”

He rubbed the back of his head with his right hand and laughed.

“Oh, I see. Ah, haha. Please take care of yourself.”

She didn’t say anything about the excuse, which even she knew was far-fetched.

He walked briskly to the restroom of the convenience store.

He checked his face in the mirror on the sink.

“Ah, I knew it.”

There he was, with unkempt hair and lifeless black eyes. His cheeks were gaunt, and his skin was dry and cracked. But the problem wasn’t there, it was the redness that was noticeable on his right cheek.

He took out a pocket tissue, pulled out about three of them, and got water from the faucet.

He placed it on his right cheek and gently rubbed it. Eventually, the red color disappeared from his cheeks, and was transferred to the tissue instead.

He then took out another tissue and wiped his cheeks.

“That’s perfect.”

Satisfied, he threw the used tissues in the trash and left the convenience store.

On the way to school, he ate the onigiri he bought. The rice goes well with the moderately salty salmon. The crunchy seaweed also added a nice accent.

The onigiri made him thirsty.

When he was done eating the onigiri, he opened the tea and gulped it down. He quenched his thirst with a pleasant sip.

Puha. Tea is the best with onigiri, isn’t it?”

Once again realizing how lucky he was to be Japanese, he walked back to the school.

ーーーーーーーーーーーーー

After some time, he arrived at the school gate. It was after 11:00 am. Classes must have just started.

The school gate, once closed, is open to visitors from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. after the lunch break.

Of course, there was a security guard on duty, but he was a student of the school, wearing a school uniform, so he would not be suspicious.

At most, they would think he was late.

He walked boldly to the front door and looked in his shoe cupboard. Sure enough, there were no sandals there, but there were various decorations.

“…………”

He had no choice but to wear his loafers to class. Luckily, he didn’t meet a teacher because they were all in class, so he didn’t get any attention.

He walked quietly down the empty hallway to his classroom on the second floor of Building B, Class 2-A. He walked steadily with the pleasant echoing sound of his loafers as background music.

From each classroom, he hears the voices of teachers and the laughter of students. Not long ago, he would have felt hatred or disgust toward them. Today, however, he had no such feelings. It was rather refreshing.

No matter what he does now, the campus notebook in his mind would remain blank. Blank pages stretching endlessly. Yes, forever.

Finally, he reached the classroom, but there was no sound. He took a look inside, and it seemed they were in the middle of a quiz.

He doesn’t know if this is good or bad.

With a little nervousness in his heart, he opened the door. The quiet classroom is suddenly filled with strange noises, and everyone turns their heads in his direction.

The reactions of the classmates who realized what the noise was varied. Some were silent and feigned disinterest, others giggled and scoffed, and still others widened their eyes in amazement. The latter two types are overwhelmingly more popular.

The teacher glanced at him, but quickly looked away as if he had lost interest. A dull man in his 30s who wears glasses is the homeroom teacher of Class 2-A.

He probably thinks that if he turns a blind eye, he will not be involved in the situation.

Certainly, he has always been unfriendly and irresponsible in his dealings with them. And he had the feeling that he wanted to continue his life as a teacher by avoiding responsibility in this way.

With his classmates and teachers aside, he entered the classroom without hesitation. He looked at his desk and saw a single bouquet of amaryllis in a long, thin vase. It was quite an ironic effect.

There was also some writing engraved on the desk. He couldn’t see what it said from there.

But his purpose was not to come to take classes or to clean his desk.

His true purpose is something else.

One of the purposes ——— no, he walked towards one of them.

The last seat by the window. There he was.

His name was Ryugasaki Gentaro.

He was wearing a school uniform with his clothes worn out of place. His gold-dyed hair is a two-block, man-bang hairstyle. He has dozens of ear piercings.

Though the number of people with such flamboyant appearances is on the decline, there are still a few out there.

He has a nasty grin on his face, as if mocking him.

“Long time no see, Ryugasaki-kun.”

“Yo, Yamashita.”

The moment he heard this voice, he had a flashback in his mind. Memories he doesn’t want to remember were vividly described.

He tensed up for a moment, and a drop of cold sweat ran down his back, but he quickly regained his composure.

By the way, Yamashita is his last name.

“Hey, you come here often, don’t you?”

“Yes, that’s right.”

“Even after what you did to me.”

Ryugasaki grinned vulgarly. He stared as if he had found a lost toy.

“How did it feel to be duped? Eeh?”

The words were spoken so that only Yamashita could hear them, and the memories of that time came flooding back to him again.

“Uh… I knew it. You were the one who falsely accused me.”

“Hyahya, even if you make a fuss now, no one will believe you, right~? More importantly, Natsuki got hurt, so yo… compensation, you get what I’m saying?”

His expression changed completely from a smile to a laugh. The moment he said the word compensation, Ryugasaki’s expression became eagle-eyed.

After all, that must have been his goal from the very beginning.

“Hey, Yamashita, are you listening? You can’t just mess with someone’s girlfriend and expect to get away with it. Ah?”

“Don’t worry, I know. That’s why I came here today.”

Once again appalled by the teacher who paid no attention to any of this even though it was during class, Yamashita reached for his bag.

The reason was to take out the item he had bought this morning. The contents had already been opened and the blade had been exposed to a sufficient length.

“What? Watch your mouth! Bastard, are you playing aroun———”

“Oh, Ryugasaki-kun. You have something on your shoulder.”

“Oh? What are you talking about…”

“Happy present”

Dosu

It was an unexpected blow. After a moment of distraction, Yamashita took the present out of his bag and stabbed it in a straight line at Ryugasaki’s neck.

He immediately pulled it out, only to find that liquid was flowing from his neck.

“Huh!?!? A, a, ah, aah!?!!?!??”

Ryugasaki let out an inaudible voice at the pain that came late.

He pressed the left side of his neck where he had been stabbed with both hands. A reddish-black liquid leaked from the gap between his fingers.

“Huh? I screwed up. One more time!”

When he switched the present to his other hand, he stabbed him again, this time on the other side of his neck. This time, without pulling it out immediately, he gouged out the wound with the gritty blade and pulled it toward him.

With tears in the corners of his eyes, Ryugasaki summoned the last of his strength and grabbed the wrist of the one thrusting the blade.

However, after moving the blade a few centimeters without resistance, Yamashita pulled it out with all his might, having felt the response to the feeling of the blade splitting flesh.

After the third time, Yamashita was used to this technique.

Immediately, fresh blood spurted from Ryugasaki’s neck like a fountain.

Not only Ryugasaki’s desk, but also the students sitting in front of him, the floor, window glass, white curtains, etc. Red dots of various sizes were created in all directions of the droplets.

Ryugasaki, spurting blood, finally fell to the floor with a thud and died.

The gallery who were watching the game came to their senses, and screams erupted all at once.

The screams were so loud that they reached the neighboring classrooms through the corridor.

“Whoa! You got it on my clothes. So dirty. It’s black, so it won’t show.”

Yamashita was more upset(Frowned upon) by the fact that Ryugasaki’s blood had gotten on his clothes than by his panicked classmates.

After kicking Ryugasaki in the face one last time in frustration, he walked to the center of the classroom with the happy present still in his hand.

For another purpose.

The person he was looking for was lying on her back looking up at him, maybe she got caught in a chair while trying to escape or her legs didn’t have the strength.

“Hello, Natsuki-san.”

“Ya, ya, Yamashita… san.”

Her name was Natsuki Shinonome, and she answered with a frightened expression.

Tentatively, she was Yamashita’s ex-girlfriend. It should be obvious that she was Ryugasaki’s accomplice in the tomfoolery.

“Heh! First it was Shuji, then Trash. And now it’s Yamashita-san, huh? You change people’s names a lot, don’t you?”

Shuji was Yamashita’s first name.

His official name is Shuji Yamashita(Yaita Shuji).

“Hii… I, I’m sorry, please.”

Natsuki sensed something in Yamashita’s grinning smile, and managed to blurt out an apology in a trembling voice.

She dripped tears, snot, and even drool from fear, and secreted a fluid similar to the one from her face.

“I wanted to ask you something, Natsuki-san. Why did you set me up?”

“………… Ryu, Ryugasaki-kun told me to…”

The next moment, Yamashita stabbed the happy present into Natsuki’s thigh. Maybe because he stabbed a little harder, his hand did not feel the sting as much.

“A, ARGH, ITHUSITHUUUURS!!”

Suddenly, she felt a strong pain coming from her thigh.

She screamed at the pain she had never felt before.

“Why, did you set me up?”

Yamashita asked Natsuki the same question again. He still had a smiling expression on his face.

The smell of ammonia wafted into Yamashita’s nostrils.

“B, because you were just the right guy for the part… I lost my job… I didn’t have any money, and I thought it would be easier than working part-time…”

Yamashita quietly listens to Natsuki who was mumbling.

“I guess it was. I was played right from the start…”

He had noticed. Still, until he heard it directly, somewhere in his heart, maybe she was forced by Ryugasaki … it was also true that he believed in such a low idea.

He laughed at himself for being so good-natured and incompetent.

Yamashita seemed stunned and powerless, but Natsuki, perhaps seeing a chance to prevail, came out stronger than before.

“Th, that’s right! There’s no way a virgin like you can be with me!!! You should have just ◯ed yourself and ◯’

Natsuki pushed him at the last moment. Her nerves were so focused on the sharp pain in her thigh and its cause that she didn’t notice the unpleasant sweat pouring out of her body.

She was thinking about her next move to get out of there.

A flowery high school girl who still wants to enjoy her beautiful youth. She can’t afford to die here.

“…………”

“If you understand, get out of here right now! You disgust me! You fucking virgin!! The police will be here soon anyway, and you’ll be finished! I’ll make your name public and end your life!!”

Yamashita just kept his head down and didn’t say anything.

Natsuki, realizing that her opponent was in despair, pushed again.

But this was a bad move.

She soon realized that she had made a mistake.

“………… Haha”

“!?”

Natsuki’s body tensed up in an instant at the eerie laughter.

Eventually, she looked up and saw his expression.

———— he had an unusually sharp smile on his face, like a crescent moon.

“I’m afraid it’s you whose life is ending. Well, it ends right here and now.”

“Oh! N, no…!”

She instinctively foresaw her future, and tried to escape by reaching out in a panic as if crawling away.

However, she was strangely weak and only stroked the ground.

“No you don’t.”

Yamashita muttered, grabbed Natsuki’s shoulder, and turned her onto her back again.

Sitting on top of her, he said a word to her while she was completely overcome with fear.

“Happy present”

He grabbed the present with both hands and shoved it down her throat just like with Ryugasaki.

Zubu.

“Ga, gahaha… i… i hurs… hus so muc———”

Yamashita immediately pulled the blade out, this time to the right, pulled it out again, then to the left.

He pulled it out and stabbed, stabbed, slashed, and stabbed again.

A reddish-black liquid gushed out. But he didn’t seem to care anymore.

Yamashita could directly feel the soft fibers of her flesh being torn apart.

Soon, her flailing arms and legs collapsed helplessly. The tears that had been streaming from her eyes, which were not even in focus, had already dried up.

“…………”

Having achieved his goal, Yamashita stood up quickly without saying a word. His face and hands are generously covered with Natsuki’s hemoglobin and other substances.

As if to wipe it off, he rubbed his cheek with the sleeve of his uniform. But the result was just a dirty stain.

As he looked around the classroom, the onlookers were still staring. Some even pointed their smartphones in his direction.

In today’s information society, the darkness of influencer-like people who aim to get the buzz going by turning on their phones before reporting the incident, no matter what the circumstances, appears here as well.

Yamashita’s playful spirit overflowed at the sight of these fools who were only thinking of themselves, even though two lives had been lost.

While leaping with a playful Kinkijaku Yaku(The Dance of Kinkijaku), he approached the onlookers with the present in his hand.

“Oi oi~, what are you going to do with the video?”

Yamashita approached them with a mocking tone. His walk was quite physical.

“Isn’t that a violation of my publicity rights… kah!’

He said the last part of his sentence one step higher, and at the same time, he swung the present in his right hand down.

Now he was like Santa Claus, giving gifts and smiles to many people.

It’s just red. No need to say what.

“H, hey Sato got stabbed too,” “Kyaaaah!!!,” “Hi, hiiiiiii help!!!.” “Hey, somebody report it!” “Police!? Ambulance———” “u, uAAAOOOOOHH !!!” “Run, just get out of here!!” “He’s comiiiiing!”

Like a bolt from the blue. Every classmate yelled, screamed, shrieked.

Maybe it was too loud, but people from the neighboring class who heard the noise came over.

“Eh, what’s going on…?” “What is the meaning of this!?” “Is that Shinonome-san over there?” Uh, upuh…ooeh” “I, I’m calling a teacher!!” “Everyone calm down!” and “Lin-sensei, call the police!” I——” “Anyway, get everyone out of here right now!”

Yamashita understood that the time had come, and quickly decided to leave. Quickly, he grabbed his bag and left the classroom. As he did so, he stuck his utility knife(Happy Present)into the abdomen of his homeroom teacher, who happened to be watching nearby.

The homeroom teacher was still unaware of the situation due to the suddenness of the incident. He was completely incompetent to a fault.

Since he was wearing his loafers, he ran out the front door without changing shoes and headed for the school gate.

It’s nice because they were tight, but it’s a secret that he now regretted coming in loafers.

After leaving the school, he ran straight to a nearby park without stopping.

When Yamashita arrived, he immediately went to the public restroom, took off his clothes, pulled out a change of clothes and disguises that he had put in his bag beforehand, and put them on.

A plain hoodie and jeans. A black hat and a white mask.

Incidentally, he wet his Y-shirt to wipe off the blood on his face. He won’t use it anymore anyway, so he doesn’t hold back.

After disguising himself, he moistened his Y-shirt to wipe off the blood on his face. He wasn’t going to use it again anyway, so he didn’t hold back.

ーーーーーーーーーーーー

By the time he arrived downtown, it was past 12:00 p.m.

It was lunchtime, and his grumpy stomach, perhaps in a better mood, growled again, signaling hunger.

“Maybe I’ll eat something tasty.”

Fortunately, his pockets were full. At the market price around here, he could eat almost anything without worrying about money.

He immediately opened a gourmet website on his mobile phone and took a look at the reviews.

After a while, he visited a steak restaurant. Here, the restaurant sells quite stylish things, from cheap Australian beef to expensive domestic brand beef, and you can order any part of your choice in any gram.

Of course, Yamashita ordered the more expensive Japanese brand beef. He chose a 300-gram portion of sirloin, which is very popular with young people. He also ordered the A-set, which includes rice, salad, soup, and dessert.

A few minutes later, a thick sirloin steak arrived. It was glistening with fat on the searing iron plate. That was enough to lift his spirits.

He immediately took a knife and fork and ate.

When he cut the meat and put it in his mouth, the first thing that came out was a strong umami flavor that made him feel like he’d been punched in the face. And when he chewed it lightly, his mouth was moistened by the sweet fat that overflowed.

There is only one thing that goes with such great meat. That’s right, white rice.

Before the meat was gone, he shoveled the rice into his mouth to combine it with the meat, and what awaited him was harmony. The white rice softened the fatty taste of the sirloin to a good degree.

Truly the strongest tag team.

Oh, what could be happier than this?

Yamashita, whose limiter was off, ate without any hesitation.

After about 10 minutes, he had finished his meal before he knew it, paid his bill, and walked out. He was worried about whether he would be able to finish his meal because of the earlier incident at the school, but his fears seemed surprisingly unfounded.

“Well, what’s next… Oops.”

Just as he was about to wander around, he spotted a figure out of the corner of his eye.

“…… the police, huh?”

That’s right, a policeman appeared. He might be a local official, but he still has the power of the state.

If he is found, he will have no time to resist and will have to prostrate himself before the power.

He knew that it would be bad for him if that happened, so he proceeded with more caution than before. Fortunately, his small stature allowed him to blend in with the crowd, completely obliterating any sign of his presence.

After a few minutes of wandering around, he suddenly saw a movie theater.

“Come to think of it, I’ve hardly ever been there.”

Looking back on his life, Yamashita experienced this only a few times. And he went when he was very young. He doesn’t even remember what he saw.

Even now, he couldn’t think of anything in particular he wanted to see, but he thought it might be fun to decide on the spot, so he went to the movie theater.

Well, there was also the matter of the police wandering around outside.

Once inside, he went to the reception desk.

“Um… from 1:15, ‘Did You Think I Couldn’t Make a Romantic Comedy Since I Was Called a Weirdo: The Movie?’ please”

“Yes sir. It’s a theatrical version of a weird sitcom. Do you have a membership card?”

“No, I have a Student ID.”

“Thank you, I’ll take care of it. It will be exactly 1,000 yen with the student discount. I can make a membership card for free. Would you like that?”

“Ah, no, I’m fine without it.”

“Yes sir. That’ll be exactly 1,000 yen. Then, here’s your student ID card… and your ticket and admission privileges. The theater is number 4. Please make yourself at home.”

“Thank you.”

He thanked the clerk who bowed deeply and headed straight to the theater.

———— Two Hours Later.

“Hmm. That Toriyu-san girl, she’s so lewd.”

Yamashita commented from a superior perspective that it was not a bad movie for a gacha movie. He checked his watch, it was 15:20.

“Maybe I’ll watch another one…”

He went to the reception desk again.

“Excuse me, please ‘Magical Girl Honoka-chan’ at 15:40 please.”

“Yes sir, ————.”

With the tickets and privileges in hand, Yamashita went to the screening location.

ーーーーーーーーーーーーー

Two more hours later.

“Well, it was okay.”

“Hmm,” he stretched out, thinking back on the movie he had just seen.

“Well, next is——”

“Excuse me, sir.”

He was about to take out his phone and think about what to do next, when he was suddenly called out.

At first, he decided to ignore it, but eventually he was grabbed by the shoulders.

“You there, the one in the black hat.”

“…………”

“Have you seen a boy like this around here? He’s a student at 〇〇 High School just a few blocks from here. He’s about your height…”

“Has he done something?”

“… I’m sorry, I can’t give out the details. He got into a little trouble.”

“I see. I’m sorry, but I haven’t seen him.”

“Okay. Thank you very much. If you see him, let me know right away.”

“I understand. I’m sorry I can’t help you.”

With that, Yamashita turned on his heel and tried to leave the place quickly.

But,

“Wait, I’m going to ask you to take off your hat and mask. I’ll be done in a minute.”

His heart was beating faster and faster. The more he could feel it, the more his heart became active.

“…………”

The policeman approached him again.

But he could not bow down before the power of the state. Yamashita was already an outlaw.

“Ah! Could that be him?”

“Huh?”

A moment later, Yamashita ran like a rabbit.

“H, hey, you stop!”

Taking advantage of his small stature, he slipped between the people. Some people turned their heads to look at him, but did nothing more than turn around.

A shout of “Catch that boy!” could be heard from behind. But it was drowned out by the bustle of the surroundings and soon faded away.

He was running for a little over an hour.

Perhaps because of the announcement, the sirens of police cars blared from everywhere and he was forced to run around the city.

His legs were already like sticks, and he wouldn’t be able to move for a while.

He visited an observatory set up near the end of the pass.

This was a popular spot for couples, as it offered a spectacular view of the city.

At the foot of the observatory, there is a public restroom and two vending machines. At the top of a spiral staircase that goes up several tens of meters, there are several benches installed in a spacious area.

Although it was a popular spot, no one was to be seen around, probably because it was a weekday.

He’s the only one here now.

The observatory has a handrail to prevent falling, but there is nothing beyond it.

If he were to fall, he would hit the ground from a height of several tens of meters.

He looked down, but it was too dark for him to see.

In fact, the ground was actually a forest slope, and the height from the ground to where he was standing was roughly 30 to 40 meters.

The current time is before 7:00 p.m.

The sky(heavens) , which had been tinted red by the setting sun, gradually turned dark blue.

At the same time, apartment buildings, large commercial buildings, and many houses began to light up.

It was like being at the bottom of the deep sea, was Yamashita’s brief observation.

Suddenly, against the backdrop of the endless expanse(deep-sea) that stretched out in his field of vision, he was lost in thoughts of melancholy.

He got a girlfriend for the first time.

Moreover, she was so cute and kind. At first, he was blown away. He wanted to cherish her for the rest of his life.

But it was just a feeble fantasy, and in reality, he was framed as an attempted rapist who tried to force himself on her. And Ryugasaki, who saved her, became the class hero.

That was the scenario.

This twisted fact spread at the speed of light due to the recent use of social networking services.

Not only the school, but also the neighbors and even the parents, who should have believed in their child, became enemies.

Society, to all intents and purposes, will never let him be. It denied him.

“I’m tired.”

When does the ring of guilt come off a person?

When they are completely tainted with evil?

When they are cornered?

No, that’s wrong.

People do not hesitate to punish others when they believe that they are righteous with all their hearts.

They are absolute justice and the other person is utterly evil.

They have done nothing wrong.

Rather, this was the normal course of action. They were the judges.

Peer pressure, common perception.

Little fictions are reborn as great truths.

“………… if only I could start my life over again.”

Standing on the other side of the handrail, he spread his arms wide.

A cool breeze caressed his cheeks and ruffled his hair.

Nothing to hold him down. Nothing to hurt him.

“I wish to be a bird.”

Without being bound by anything.

In this endless free sky.

Flying all over the world.

“I wonder if I can fly now. I might die.”

He tried his best.

He could be saved now.

He has nothing left.

“Oh…”

Now, he’s ready to go.

He closes his eyes.

One last grain of sorrow. It trickled down his cheek.

“Because the world is so ———.”

No more regrets.

Be brave and take the first step.

Because the world is so
